If you’re like me, you already have too much on your plate. The last thing you need is a steep learning curve to use something. That’s why I wanted to quickly review how the incredibly intuitive GFI FaxMaker interface makes it easy for administrators to monitor and manage all faxing and SMS activities.
You may already be familiar with GFI FaxMaker. It’s a leading fax server that provides online faxing without the need for traditional equipment. It allows users to send and receive faxes electronically through a web interface, email or integrated application – from any location, on any device. If you’re already a GFI FaxMaker customer, you can download the latest version by clicking here.
See the “big picture” at a glance
FaxMaker’s web interface enables administrators to monitor remotely all fax activity across the company. Since it is web-based, it can be accessed from any device: laptop, mobile or tablet. It gives administrators the ultimate in flexibility.
Monitored activities include:
- How many faxes were sent or queued
- How many faxes failed to send
- Which devices were used when faxing
The capabilities of the web interface don’t stop there, because administrators can also perform many management tasks, such as:
- Setting up notifications and be notified if there is an issue
- Remotely logging into the web interface to monitor activity
- Proactively resolving issues from wherever they are before their customer ever calls them to report the issue
All this information is also available to monitor the number of SMS messages in queue, the last SMS number sent and how many SMS messages were sent locally and internationally.
Ability to automatically update the software
GFI FaxMaker can automatically update as new GFI FaxMaker versions or patches are released. Updates can be installed either as they become available or based on a schedule preset by the administrator.
Windows based event logs
To aid in better understanding events related to GFI FaxMaker, it can move event logs into the Windows Event Viewer, providing simpler access to the administrator.
